Sophie and Nathan’s Country House Wedding in Tuscany

Our First Conversation
I first met Sophie and Nathan on an informal Zoom call shortly after their website enquiry. We connected straight away.
They both knew from the outset they wanted to get married in Tuscany.
Venue Choice
After considering the venues I had shared, they chose Casa Cornacchi, a family-run country house in the province of Arezzo, surrounded by rolling hills and cypress-lined roads.
The owners and team made a warm impression on Sophie and Nathan from the beginning.
For their celebration, self-contained accommodation combined with an on-site restaurant, gardens and pools gave guests a comfortable place to stay together.
The venue’s connection to locally produced food, wine and olive oil was another important part of their choice.
They booked the venue and invited 40 friends and family to stay on site.
Other guests stayed in local hotels and B&Bs. We arranged transport so they could join each celebration at the venue.
Three Days of Celebrations
A welcome pizza party, the wedding day and a relaxed poolside barbecue gave friends and family three days together. For some guests, it was their first reunion in several years.
Pizza Party
We held the welcome gathering in a courtyard among the rustic buildings, with a weather alternative available.
It was a lively evening of laughter and catching up, over beer, Prosecco and spritzes.
Fresh pizza kept arriving throughout the meal, with Nutella pizza providing a memorable finish.
Wedding Day
The wedding day was especially hot. After a leisurely breakfast, Adrienne and her team arrived to begin hair and make-up preparations.
Nathan and his party spent much of the morning by the pool, while Sophie and her bridesmaids got ready in their rooms.
Around the venue, suppliers prepared the ceremony and drinks spaces.
The kitchen prepared canapés for aperitivo and the evening banquet.
The singer and DJ checked the sound, the celebrant revisited the ceremony words, and the photography, video and floral teams captured and prepared the final details.
Wedding ceremony
By 3:50pm, guests were seated and Nathan and his party were waiting. Daisy sang as everyone anticipated the arrival of the bridal party.
At 4pm, guests stood as Daisy began the entrance song.
After postponements during the pandemic, Sophie and Nathan finally exchanged their vows in a heartfelt ceremony full of laughter and happy tears.
Wedding Aperitivo
Guests then moved to the poolside gardens for drinks and canapés, enjoying the food and a chance to cool down.
Dinner and the Evening Party
The outdoor banquet was styled simply to complement the gardens and make the most of the evening light.
A three-course Italian dinner was served with wine, with speeches woven through the meal.
The couple cut their Italian wedding cake to cheers from their guests.
The party then moved to a barn-style space away from the main accommodation.
An open bar and music kept the evening lively.
The celebrations continued into the early hours, when arranged transport took guests back to their accommodation.
