Imagine a beautifully restored castle, a stunning private villa set in lush gardens, an agriturismo within a vineyard, a castle ruin overlooking the coastal views of sapphire blue seas, a modernised masseria in the stunning countryside, a stunning cliff top terrace with a beautiful open air restaurant, most of these offering delicious home produced food accompanied by local cool, crisp wines.
Now imagine the sound of traditional music playing for your ceremony and the happy smiling faces of your loved ones, chilling and chatting as they sit at a totally relaxed alfresco dinner under a perfect sunset with twinkling fairy lights and flickering candles. Followed by music and dancing till dawn... these are just a few of the reasons that I love a destination wedding.
I can help you plan weddings in various locations in Europe but I specialise in arranging weddings in Italy, Spain, Switzerland and Santorini
The Process Explained
Step One
The process in booking a destination wedding is straightforward and personal. We will book in an initial consultation in which we have a chat about your wishes and requirements. Hopefully you will leave our call excited to move forward with One Fine Day Wedding Consultants, and I will send you a Booking contract and an invoice for the initial booking fee. Once this is completed, I will then propose a range of venues in your chosen location to suit exactly what you are looking for.
The great thing about me is that I don't work with a limited number of venues, which means I can look anywhere for the right venue for you.
Step Two
Once you have had time to look over all the options I send you, we will be able to narrow down the selection to a shortlist of usually about 4-6 of your favourites in your chosen location. This is when the fun will begin as it is time to visit these venues in person!
I will arrange accompanied visits to these venues in which we will check them out, meet the owners and staff, explore the area, try the local restaurants and sample the wines! You will then return home happy and exhausted but with your chosen venue decided. We will then finalise the booking with the venue and you will officially have a wedding date.
Step Three
Due to my many years of experience, I have an extensive knowledge of not only some incredible venues, but also some outstanding, talented suppliers to share with you and when you are ready to book with them I can manage those bookings for you. But if you already have suppliers in mind that you would like to use, then that is totally fine too. The choices are always yours to make.
Step Four
If you are planning a legally recognised civil or religious ceremony I will guide you through the documentation process, one step at a time, so that it is all completed correctly and on time.
Step Five
This is when I will create your timelines for you.
One being a supplier schedule which will list arrival times for each supplier and service start and end times etc ensuring the smooth running of your wedding.
Another one will show the overall timings of the day from the beginning to the end.
I will also prepare your guest lists and their menu preferences.
Arrange your pre wedding hair and make up trials, menu tastings and final meetings with the venue on the days before the wedding.
Step Six
Your wedding day is here!
Myself and my team will be present and coordinating your wedding day from the beginning of set up through to the end of the day to ensure everything runs perfectly. We will be managing suppliers, liaising with venue staff, overseeing the set up, the design and decor and ensuring your guests are well looked after. We will also be on hand to assist both of you in getting ready so that you can relax and enjoy yourselves, knowing that your day is in safe, experienced hands.
