Wedding Location Visit to Amalfi Coast

My very first meeting with Orla and Ruairi was a year before their wedding.

I flew out to Italy to meet them in their chosen location, the gorgeous little town of Ravello, perched high on the mountain with the most spectacular views of the dramatic Amalfi coast.

We spent a busy few days viewing venues, meeting suppliers and making plans, always finishing our days in one of the many cafe bars or restaurants, enjoying the apperitivo and hospitality that Italy does so well!!

Wedding Day Timeline

One year later we were back for the wedding itself.

Wedding Ceremony in Ravello duomo church

The wedding was a traditional catholic ceremony which took place in the beautiful ancient duomo in the town square and the bridal party took a slow leisurely stroll through the gorgeous cobbled streets, clapped and congratulated by the locals and tourists alike. Some following the bride on her walk, with others shouting Auguri from the street cafes.

Once the ceremony was over and all the confetti thrown, we gathered in the square for prossecco and aperitivo before the short walk through the town to the reception at villa-eva.it while the happy couple went off for some private moments and some photo opportunities.

While the guests were serenaded by their musicians, who flew in from Ireland, and enjoyed their apperitivo at the beautiful reception venue, the happy couple slowly made their way through the cobbled, narrow streets enjoying some quiet tender moments together, allowing time for some stunning photographs to be taken.

They then joined their guests for drinks and more canapés in the stunning gardens before being served an incredible five course dinner full of laughter and fun.
